LIST: All the facial wash products I’ve tried + Review

facial wash review philippines

Facial wash is probably the beauty product that I won’t remove from my routine. To be honest, I am lazy doing skincare routines and the best I can do is to wash my face every morning and evening then blob it with some moisturizer. With that, I would just like to share some of my experiences while using different facial wash products.

Before we proceed with the list and my thoughts about them, let me inform you about my skin type. I have normal-to-dry skin and, thankfully, no acne issues. I have tiny little skin bumps but it doesn’t bother me at all because I’ve been doing a lot of things to eradicate them but nothing works! So I just let them be.

Anyway, I would like to add that everything I say here is purely based on my experience. Results or experience may vary from person to person.

Let’s go!

Celeteque Hydration Facial Wash

celeteque hydrating facial wash review
Product shot from Celeteque

Product Claims: Effectively cleanses skin and washes away dirt, oil, and other impurities; formulated with Natural Moisturizing Factor and mild cleansing agents; helps restore skin’s proper moisture balance; hypoallergenic and safe for use; clinically proven to lessen comedones by 82.5 percent and improve smoothness by 95 percent within 14 days of usage; hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic, clinically proven safe for sensitive skin.

As someone with dry skin most of the time, I always opt for hydrating facial wash. Fortunately, my skin isn’t that sensitive so I get to experiment with different products on my face without adverse effects. I purchased Celeteque Hydration Facial Wash a few years back and I would say the first few days I used it, it really smoothened my face and had that glowing effect without makeup on. I liked it! Until I got a couple of pimples after days of using it.

I thought it’s just my hormones but after my second bottle, It left pimple marks on my face which I didn’t really like. I have a fair complexion so dark spots are really visible. In the end, I stopped using it to stop pimples from popping out.

Human Nature Balancing Facial Wash

human nature balancing facial wash review
Product shot from Human Nature

Product Claims: Controls oil and minimizes shine with Manila elemi ingredient; provides natural and balanced moisture to the skin; best for combination and oily skin; contains elemi, an ingredient known to balance sebum, cut down bacteria, and reduce skin redness.

It’s my first natural facial wash and overall, this product does its job! It cleansed my face as it should and also had that smoothening effect after use. If you have oily skin, I definitely recommend this but I think it works fine for other skin types. It doesn’t have that drying feeling given that I have normal to dry skin. I also love that it has gentle scrub particles that kind of help cleansed my face after a long day, leaving you radiant and glowing. Lastly, I rarely experience breakouts while using this so, thumbs up!

Human Nature Hydrating Creamy Wash

Human Nature Hydrating Creamy Wash review
Product shot from Human Nature

Product Claims: Transform skin that’s dull and dry to supple and hydrated with nature’s moisture boosters and nutrient-rich moringa – an overflowing well of antioxidant Vitamins E, C, and A. Step out into the limelight with skin that’s oh-so-soft and moisturized.

I used this just once and I wasn’t even able to empty the bottle. I know this product is derived from natural ingredients but I would like it more if it’s foamier. The first time I used it, it felt like I wasn’t using a facial wash and it also takes a lot of water to cleanse it because it’s slippery on the face. Maybe I just want some more bubbles while cleansing my face—you know, psychologically, it feels clean when you see foam even a little bit. But it has a suppling effect if you ask me.

Eskinol Hydrate Micellar Facial Wash

eskinol hydrate micellar facial wash review
Product shot from Eskinol

Product Claims: Achieve #GandangNaturallyFresh skin with the new Eskinol Naturals Micellar Facial Wash range. It has 0% alcohol and naturals extract, making it not harsh on the skin. Extracted from freshly picked aloe vera, its hydrating formula gently purifies and nourishes to lock moisture into your skin.

I bought this one mainly because I wanted to try something new. Besides, I liked its packaging design. It is in a gel form that has a mild aloe vera scent which is okay. Throughout the day, my face doesn’t dry even without moisturizer, so given that I only bought this for less than P100, it’s a nice product to provide the hydration that your face needs. I don’t think this has other whitening/brightening properties so don’t expect that result when using it. If you want to feel refreshed and have smoother skin for an affordable price, go for this.

Myra Smooth Glow Whitening Facial Wash

myra smooth glow facial wash review
Product shot from Myra

Product Claims: The new Myra Smooth Glow Whitening Facial Wash is now packed with more Essential Vitamins (Vitamins E, C, B3, B5, B6); it has Micro-Light Technology™ that has double whitening ingredients known to whiten and refine skin. It makes skin renewed and fresh-looking; perfect for normal to dry skin.

So far, this is the facial wash that I’ve been using for a long time. It’s affordable and available in almost every drugstore or supermarket. I’m not really that particular when using beauty products on my face as long as it does its purpose. While using Myra Fresh Glow Facial Wash, it’s really moisturizing and does not cause any breakouts. Over time, I’ve seen its brightening effect because of its beauty vitamins and niacinamide. It also whitens my pimple marks in the long run.

Obviously, this products’ whitening effect isn’t visible after a week of use; it may take weeks but if you’re okay with that and you prefer a budget-friendly facial wash that is both whitening and hydrating, then this product is for you.

Overall, I haven’t really had a bad experience when using these products (except the pimples, but it’s bearable). What matters when choosing a beauty product is that you learn first your skin type, the effects you are looking for, and your preferred budget. Facial wash products have different purposes so check them first before you add them to the cart.
